Whenever someone mentions a luxury spa, typically there is a tendency to think about boutique hotels, elegant resorts or exquisite chalets. Most trains of thought never take a rustic cabin into consideration.

Well, it was my experience at Tigh-Na-Mara Seaside Resort & Spa in Parksville, BC that changed that perception for good. We stayed in a rustic one-bedroom cabin overlooking the beach with a full kitchen and stone fireplace and it was the epitome of the comfortable, warm cabin on a cold night.
